When was the Gene Hunt track made? 1987? Plus, like type mentions below, there was a shorter version with a different track name that was released on Trax sub label MADD in 1995. It would be great if anyone can shed some light on this release.

I think its' hard to say. The last 10 years or so Gene Hunt has relased a lot of records that are wholly or partly reissues of older material. It's abit strange mode of operation because it's rarely mentioned on the releases. Maybe he feels a preassure to release new stuff, but only has the old?

promo sampler? whatever happened this release? wasnt there supposed to be a full release?

At the time, and the 2 to 3 years after it's release, I sent emails to Rush Hour at regular intervals asking about the album and possible follow ups. They were never able to provide any information. I think they were in the dark as much as I was. I assume it was a project that just never came to be. A real shame as if this sampler was anything to go by we were in for something special.

'Sound Dome' originally released on "Gene Hunt ‎– Living In The Land Pt.2" (Maad MD6002) 1995.Shorter and with a different intro.

really nice, proper different ... the A side is on +8% speed

I think you´re right, it s really fast. I actually can´t find the right speed so that it sounds "normal", as you put it..I guess those guys used to play it fast like that, back then.
